Obi Wan-Kenobi VS Coyote
I don't even know how to begin to blog this event it was soooo scary!!!
It was Friday night October 17th, and my neighbors & parents were over visiting, when Anna went to sleep over my Moms and Nate was going to sleep over Bev's due to the return of my wicked wicket Migraines (that is another story...)
When Obi our dog decided to do his business in the yard and visit our neighbor Bev's dog Pepper (we cut out a notch in our adjoining fences) when all of the sudden there was a horrible cry and screeching from Obi.
Before we knew what was happening Obi was snatched from our neighbors yard by a Coyote and almost made a meal of if it wasn't for Pepper and our other neighbors coming to our dogs rescue.
The Coyote came down the street and went alongside Bev's fence pushed a loose picket and grabbed poor Obi.
Well it seems Pepper ran out the loose picket and scared the coyote down the street with the neighbors.
Obi ran back into Bev's yard then our house and we found him bleeding with Coyote stench in the air. Conder cleaned it as best he could but it was still bleeding and it looked bad like Dracula bite marks on both sides of his ribs.
Obi proceeded to go into shock and we took him to the Animal Hospital.
When we got there I pushed my way to the front of the line and when they saw Obi they took him right away.
I was so scared for Obi but just thankful that both our kids did not have to see the drama of it all.
The Vet could not believe how lucky our dog was and how good he looked but didn't want to give us false hope either until the x-rays came back.
Well it was more serious than we thought broken rib & pulmonary contusion which means lungs filling up with blood - which thankfully either heals on its own or is the reason for death.
I was so sad & upset but all we could do was wait until morning - and I must have called 4 times but finally he was ready to come home with us.
I can honestly say our dog is back to normal and he has now become a cat who is down to 7 lives - surviving the Coyote attack and of course just surviving life as a pound dog...
We are so happy for the turn of events - but I write this so that you all realize how dangerous Coyotes can be!!!
Watch out for your pets and children this time of year you can never be to careful!!!
Do not leave food out, check your fences for openings, never never underestimate the reality of the food chain and hungry wild life.
I have seen coyotes at night but just never thought this could ever happen - we don't live by the canyon but we are close enough and these poor wild animals are hungry enough...
May the force be with you because we know for a fact it was with us 2 weeks ago!!!

Nathan at Torrey Pines State Beach Labor Day Weekend - the boy loves the WATER! THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL 8/19/08
Today was Anna & Nathan's FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL at of course 2 different schools at the SAME TIME!!!
After that realization I recruited Conder and cousin Anthony to SAVE THE DAY...
Anna attends Park Village Elementary School and started 2nd Grade, and Nathan starts PreSchool at Deer Canyon 2 days a week.
Normally they start at different times and I was ready to manage it but the first day of school they started at the same time.
Soooooooooooooooo
Daddy took Nathan to Preschool and Anthony went with me & Anna to Second Grade
Anthony was greeted by Anna's teacher with a big smile because he use to be a buddy to one of her students and then she remembered me strolling Anna into school while I use to take my neighbors & Anthony to school. The lesson here is becareful in life its a VERY SMALL WORLD.
This woman knew Anna the first 2 years of her life 3 days a week - she totallly remembered us.
Now of course I was standing there like - how does this woman know me???
Then Anthony just chimed in and just took over the conversation like a pro - I'm telling you all this cool cuz is going to make some woman very happy when he chooses a wife.
After Anna got settled into her class we drove to Deer Canyon where Nathan goes to PreSchool and met up with Daddy & Nate and then Daddy went to work.
Nathan's preschool teacher was Anna's preschool teacher Mrs Lester and
I LOVE THIS WOMAN!!! We are so lucky to be in the Poway Unified School District!

LADIES & GENTLEMEN...
The Ringling Bros & Barnum Bailey Circus was here in San Diego and after my neighbor decided to go we decided to go with them. I do have fond memories of going to the circus only 2x's in my life and even though my heart goes out to the animals I still felt compelled to go.
We had a great time and I am glad we went.
By far the Elephants are AMAZING, nothing else compares to them for me!
Then the TIGERS, which were hungry even during the show.
It really is the greatest show on EARTH!

Anna & Nathan loved it
We got to see the animals outdoors before the show, and we got to see performers up close before the show started.
I am glad I decided to take them, unfortunately Conder had to work but it was still a great time.
We had a great time and I am glad we went.

Saw GG yesterday Sat July 19th, 2008
Dear All,
Just saw Great Grandma, Aunt Lisa, Cousin Jeri, and Aunt Chris, Uncle Dennis, Nick, Gary, Paul & Leslie yesterday at Aunt Chris' house.
It was so nice to see everyone - Nathan thought so to and contunued to ask everyone how old they were - GG was telling him 100 and Nathan was lovin' it. No Great Grandma is not 100 but almost :)
Anna was so excited to see her she brought GG all her play pictures and sat with her and told her all about all of the plays she has done and that Sound of Music is NEXT. GG told us about her being in Madam Butterfly when she was 1 years old waving a flag on stage. She also told us about her brother who was a great actor as well. I never knew that before.
Then Nathan decided that his reflection in the TV was too cool and decided to dance back & fourth it was too funny for words. The boy is looney tunes at times but I couldn't stop laughing, he is my total entertainment - the guy is funny... Well of course then he missed his nap so the meltdown came is waves - not too bad but I didn't want to leave so it was really all my fault.
I just wanted to stay forever I miss Aunt Lisa & GG - she use to teach Anna piano lessons so it was my excuse to visit every week!!!
While Nathan asked everyone their age over and over and Anna explored Aunt Chris' antique collection I was able to catch up with everyone. Thankfully we are all doing good - and you know what we all have our STUFF but its so nice to look around at the people you love and just chit chat and get some girl time in!!!
I will post a few picts - I almost forgot to take some!
FYI - I spoke to MOMO yesterday as well and the game plan is the boys are all camping so boys get up there Sunday for early Monday departure. You boys will also be getting back by Friday to help load Saturday for Momo & Pops move.

Bloggin Bahen
Hi this is my first Bahen Blog for our family Wooh whoooo!
I do all my work on the Internet and I can't believe this is my first BLOG attempt...
I was inspired by Momo bloggin' so I thought hey Nate just pooped on the potty so there is something to share!!! I just might regret this decision after a good nights sleep but for now that is BIG NEWS!!! He has been #1 trained for quite some time but #2 on command is BIG NEWS in our home.
We are all doing fine and can't wait to sit down and really share our days with our family and friends!
